What people ask.
What does PokeeBee do?
PokeeBee reads the birthdays and events already in your contacts and calendars, works out who has an occasion coming up, reminds you in time to do something about it, and helps you choose a gift.
Can PokeeBee change my contacts or calendar?
It never changes your contacts — the Google access it asks for is read-only. It only writes to your calendar if you turn on calendar write-back, and then it only adds the occasions you created in PokeeBee. It never edits or deletes anything it did not create.
Does my data leave my device?
The events read from your calendars stay on your device. Contact photos are cached on your device only and never uploaded. Details you type about people sync to your account so they reach your next phone, and you can turn that off or delete the synced copy at any time.
Do I have to connect Google?
No. PokeeBee works with the contacts and calendars already on your phone. Google is optional, and you can disconnect it whenever you like.
How do I delete my data?
In the app, under You › Data & privacy, you can delete the data on your device, the data in your account, or the whole account. There is also a public page describing all three routes.
When does PokeeBee launch?
Soon. Join the waitlist and we will email you when it is available — that is the only thing we will use your address for.
